Charli can do no wrong in my book. Even her recent "low" with Crash, I take no issue with her many different attempts at what girl pop music. And she fucking nailed it out of the park with this album. Pop bangers that feel so fresh and yet so obvious at the same time. I don't know how she does it. Brat summer forever. 🍏
Soft, soothing, and an lyrically intimate. I am absolutely in love with this warm, 70's style bedroom pop. Also a return to form for me, given how fast I jumped off her last album.
Like, in my head, I know its not perfect, but something about the winding experiments and moody vibes that brings me back to this one more than it probably should. It has a few questionable choices (looking at JT), but overall I find it greater than the sum of its parts.
Listen, I know Bryan Garris' vocals isn't for everyone and the subject a few jokes. But I really needed a good hard/deathcore album, so let me and my music be, ok?
It's Thom Yorke, what do you want me to say? While not the most exciting or daring, I won't turn down more from this weirdo.
